«A copy of Armavia's payment receipt would suit us
«Zvartnost wants us to make prepayments," spokeswoman for the Armavia airline Nana Avetisova told A1+.
In her words, they cannot make a cash payment to Zvartnost Airport so as to resume flights which have been suspended in the last two days.
Ms. Avetisova said that the money transfer in payment of their debts was made on Tuesday and that the money was to reach Zvartnost within 2-3 days.
"A copy of the payment receipt would suit us (like anyone else) to get permission for resumption of flights," spokesman for Zvartnost Gevorg Abrahamyan told A1+.
He said the airport is not sure that the transfer has been made. According to him, despite this fact, yesterday evening the airport allowed Armavia to operate flights for the benefit of passengers, but the provision of services for flights was discontinued this morning. «I cannot say if the same thing will happen today or not,» Gevord Abrahamyan noted.
By the way, speaking about the possibility of resuming flights after the receipt is shown, the spokeswoman for Armavia said that the receipt is handed by the financial director. «Let the financial directors of the two companies meet and talk together».
Today, according to Zvartnots' schedule, Armavia will not operate flights to Sochi, Tel Aviv, and Kiev. The airport staff and its webste advise passengers to address their questions to the airline.
