Landslide may damage company
Landslide processes have become active today in the vicinity of the village of Shahumyan, Syunik province, near Deno Gold Mining Company
A team of the regional rescue department went to the scene.
The landslide covers an area of 2.5 ha.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, if the landslide starts to move, it may damage the company that is about 180 meters away, as well as Goris-Kapan interstate highway about 200 meters away.
There is also a high-voltage pole (100,000 volts) not far from the landslide. The mayor of the city of Kapan and the chief expert of the urban development unit of the regional administration have been informed about the danger.
