Gas price to rise
A review of the gas price is inevitable, said Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission Robert Nazaryan, when presenting the report on the 2011 budget implementation of their commission in the National Assembly today.
"The size of the gas price at the border has not yet been specified, but many components indicate that a review is inevitable. As soon as a definite decision is made, the public will be informed about it in an open and transparent way," he stated.
Speaking about their sphere of activities, Robert Nazaryan said that in 2011 the budget of the Public Services Regulatory Commission was over 416 million AMD, 1.5 million of which was saved.
NA deputies made a proposal to provide an additional sum for repairs of the Commission's building so that "it will have a proper appearance".
"Of course, I am touched by your proposal, but when we have to choose between form and content, we prefer to spend our money on content. Your words left me with the impression that we work in a sty, but if we evaluate the state of our building on a scale of 1 to 5, we will evaluate it as "4+". What can we do? It is our Armenia, our relief, our geography (I mean the inconvenient location of the Commission's building,)" R. Nazaryan noted.
