Armenia's Ministry of Health received a report on Tuesday that seven children had been rushed to hospital with food poisoning from a kindergarten in Ararat village on the same day.

Doctors advised the parents to bring to the hospital all children who have signs of poisoning. Six more children were taken to hospital as a result. 3-4-year-olds were sent home after receiving first aid; they were put under the surveillance of a family doctor. They are reportedly in normal condition today.

The other three children [remaining in the hospital] were given necessary medical assistance and were said to be normal condition as of 10 p.m. Nov 6. Two of them were discharged in the morning while the third one is receiving treatment for an acute respiratory tract infection.
The Ministry of Health revealed that 3-6 year olds of the kindergarten began vomiting 2.5 hours after eating soup with pea, rice and chicken.

To prevent the further spread of the disease, the Ministry experts undertook sanitary-epidemiological measures and laboratory tests.

The situation is under control.
