An exhibition of Armenian handwritten and printed books that opened at the British Museum earlier this month will run till January 31.

The event is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Armenian printing, 20th anniversary of the British-Armenian diplomatic relations and the declaration of Yerevan as the 2012 World Book Capital. The best samples of the Armenian manuscript and print literature are showcased at the Library's Treasury Hall.

Armenia's Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan had left for London to attend the solemn opening of the exhibition. The event also brought together representatives of the Foreign Ministry, London diplomatic corps, MPs and students, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
