Heritage calls for a meeting between leaders of political parties
The Heritage Party has issued a statement in which the party calls for a meeting of the heads of political parties, viewing it as an important condition for further cooperation between the four opposition factions in parliament. The Heritage Party has always been a staunch supporter of consolidation of political and civil forces, clearly realizing that this is the only way to change the grave situation in Armenia. This is the main reason that we initiated cooperation between the four opposition forces in parliament. Though we have always said and call for an entire change of power, in the given political situation the resignation of the Cabinet became a phased and tactical demand of the common political agenda of the four forces. The resignation of the Prime Minister, which was not actually planned by the government, was the result of this unity and effective joint steps aimed at changing the situation in the country. And now it is urgent that we convert the format of cooperation between the parliamentary opposition forces into a united inter-party front which will instill more confidence in the cooperation of the four political parties and become the next stage for popular uprising with the participation of more political and civil forces. For this reason, we believe that it is important to organize a meeting of the heads of political parties during which they will agree on future steps and strategy of the struggle. We view this meeting as an important condition for further cooperation between the four opposition factions in parliament,” reports the Press Service of the Party.
