AMENDMENTS TO THE LAW WILL NOT BRING TANGIBLE CHANGES

The legislative amendments carried out to meet the RA Constitution, do not comply with the provisions of the fundamental law of the country in reality. The Constitution foresees new order of the formation of the National Commission for the Television and Radio; i.e. four members of the commission are to be elected by the NA and the rest by the RA President.

OPPOSITION IS DEPRIVED OF AIR

The international community criticizes the fact that the RA TV Stations have fixed high prices for political advertisements just on the eve of the parliamentary elections.

EXPLOSION IN A CAFE

On February 14, at about 3:36 p.m., an alarm went out that the café located on Andranik Street 144 was set on fire. Two fire brigades immediately left for the site. The fire was extinguished at 4:11p.m.

FIRE IN APARTMENT

On February 14, a fire broke out in apartment 34 of building 3, Sharuri Street. An armchair, blanket and cover burnt to ashes.

THREE AZERIS CAUGHT

Armenian Border Guard caught three Azeris having Georgian citizenship. They were trying to pass the Armenian-Georgian borderline to realize deforesting. Two of the arrestees are currently in Yerevan.

ANOTHER VICTIM OF AZERI SNIPER

On February 14, at about 09:30, an Azeri sniper wounded the major Ervand Pashikyan (b. in 1958), contractual serviceman, in the chest. Ervand Pashikyan died on the spot, RA Defense Ministry reports.
