What can Ombudsman's Office do in Permyakov Case (video)
A1+ Company has interviewed first deputy of Armenian Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman), Genya Petrosyan. What can the Ombudsman’s Office do in the criminal case of Valeri Permyakov, the Russian soldier charged with the murder of a seven-member family in Armenia’s Gyumri city in January. Armenian Prosecutor-General Gevorg Kostanyan has already turned to his Russian counterpart Yuri Chaika with a request to hand over Permyakov to Armenian jurisdiction. It is expected that Permyakov will be tried by a Russian tribunal.
