Communists lay flowers at Myasnikyan Statue (video)
A few dozen communists of Armenia have started their day with a march. They marched 100 meters from the headquarters of their party and laid gillyflowers at Myasnikyan Statue. Today is the 98th anniversary of October Socialist Revolution.
“It is the greatest revolution of the 20th century. When it reached Armenia, Armenia had been in the grip of illiteracy and hunger. After the revolution Armenia became one of the leading republics,” said Tachat Sargsyan, CPA Central Committee First Secretary.
He explained why they are starting the day at Alexander Myasnikyan Statue:
“Today we bowed down to Alexander Myasnikyan, who proclaimed on the eve of the soviet power that they were turning a country of tears into a country of roses.”
Members of the Communist Party also laid flowers at Stepan Shahumyan Statue, then marched to their headquarters and convened a session recalling how good life was during the years of the Soviet Union.
