Attention: Some roads closed and difficult to pass
The RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations informs that on January 27 as of 08:30 some roads are closed and difficult to pass in the RA territory. Hrazdan-Jraratavan, Berd-Chambarak, Tashir-Privolnoye highways and Vardenyats mountain pass are closed. Dilijan roads (for trucks), Goris-Sisian, Madina-Verin Getashen, Sisian-Goris, Sotk-Karvachar, Ashotsk-Bavra, Lanjar-Lusashogh, as well as the interstates roads of Tavush, Vayots Dzor, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Syunik, Lori, Aragatsotn, Shirak marzes are difficult to pass. There is black ice on some parts of these roads. Cleaning activities are being carried out on the 8-9th km of Areni-Khachik highway in the RA Vayots Dzor, as a result of which the road is passable in one direction. The roads are being cleaned with salt and sand. The RA MTAES urges drivers to use the abovementioned roads only if strictly necessary using winter tires. According to the instruction of the RA MTAES Minister all the divisions on duty have worked in strengthened regime since December 25, 2015. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia informs that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for passenger vehicles in case of using tire chains.
