Vardges Gaspari to be set free
The Criminal Court of Appeal has upheld an appeal from civil activist Vardges Gaspari’s lawyers and annulled the February 19 decision of a Yerevan court to take the activist into custody. The Court eliminated Gaspari’s arrest, the preventive measure applied by the lower court,and ordered that Gaspari be set free immediately. Gaspari's wife Anahit Ayvazi does not know when her husband will return home. She learnt the news from A1+. Gaspari’s lawyers did not participate in the court hearing. As lawyer David Gyurjyan said they had not been informed about the time of the sitting.
