EgyptAir hijacker surrenders to authorities (video)
16:00 The suspected hijacker of an EgyptAir airliner surrendered to Cyprus authorities. First, he freed rest of the passengers, then emerged from the aircraft with his hands in the air. 13:10 Egypt Air announced that most of the passengers of were allowed to disembark. The hijacker kept the crew and four foreign passengers on board - though five people wearing crew uniforms have since been seen leaving the plane. 10:36 An EgyptAir domestic flight from Alexandria to Cairo was hijacked on Tuesday and landed in Cyprus, Egyptian officials and Cyprus state radio said. The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation reported that 55 passengers were on board and a crew of seven. At least one man was thought to be armed.
