My father-in-law married off his daughters to save them from falling into the hands of Turks (video)
Iranian-Armenian Rlfi Sargsyan visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. She heard real stories about the Armenian killings from her husband whose father was a comrade-in-arm of Andranik Ozanian. “My mother-in-law died in 1915, leaving her minor children under the care of her husband. My father-in-law married off his 9- and 12-year-old daughters to save them from falling into the hands of Turks,” she said. “My husband told me a lot of things, how they became refugees and had nothing to eat for days,” she added. Mrs Sargsyan considers it her duty to come to Tsitsernakaberd every year and pay tribute to the innocent victims.
