Putin enjoys 'more authority' in Gavar than Serzh Sargsyan (video)
Martuni, a town in Gegharkunik province, lies between two restaurants – Tigran Mets and Tsar. Nothing will give you a feel of Armenia here. Instead, you will feel russian atmposhere at every step. “As soon as you pass the Lichk, you will reach a district called Putinka, because everything there was constructed with money sent from Russia,” says one of the residents. One will find empty luxury homes in Putinka. The dwellers of these houses live and work in Russia. They return at the end of the working season, build comfortable houses for them with all modern conveniences and go back again. Many do not even return. The families who do not receive any financial assistance from Russia differ in the province. Like elsewhere in the province, so in Gavar, Vladimir Putin enjoys 'more authority' than Serzh Sargsyan.
