Village headman: Whole village looking for sheep

In Kutakan community of Gegharkunik marz yesterday in the evening a pack of wolves consisting of 10 wolves attacked a herd of sheep. As a result of it 37 sheep were torn to pieces or wounded. The Ministry of Emergency Situations informed about it. In the interview with “A1+” village headman Aharon Abrahamyan told that the herd was returning from the fields and at the moment of the attack it was very close to the barn, “There were 277 sheep in the herd, a part of them was killed on the scene, another part is subject to be slaughtered. 92 sheep were lost, at present the whole village is looking for them.” The village headman also noted, that the sheep subject to slaughter cannot be sold anymore, “No one will buy that meat, we must divide it between us.” The sheep in the herd belonged to 12 families. According to the words of the village headman, the representatives from the regional administration came and got acquainted with the situation on the scene, “They made protocols, but it isn’t known how much assistance will be provided to each family.”
