“On October 2 all the packages of vote rigging will be used” (video)
The quality of holding local elections hasn’t proved the sincerity of the authorities’ statements to shift to a new political culture, says the NA “Heritage” faction lawmaker Tevan Poghosyan. He says that though the Republican candidates were defeated in several small communities, the Republican Party isn’t going to give up power, “Government change has happened, but will those changes be in time so that something changes? We understand that they won’t. The results still haven’t shown that there are real changes, or those real changes will come tomorrow.” Mr Poghosyan thinks that serious control is necessary also in next stage of the local elections, when the political forces compete in Gyumri and Vanadzor. “On October 2 we will see hot competition, where, no doubt, all the packages of vote rigging will be used, and we should be ready to protect our interests on October 2,” notes Tevan Poghosyan.
