Bus involved in crash transported children for free
All passengers of a student bus that crashed on Sevan-Yervan highway on Tuesday morning are residents of Varser community (Gegharkunik marz). Talking to A1+ Company, Zaven Harutyunyan, who heads the community, said the passengers were students, aged between 18 and 22. He said that Hripsime Galstyan, the young girl who died in the crash, studied at Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences. “Her brother was on the same bus during the accident. Doctors say he is in good condition,” Mr. Harutyunyan said. Some reports suggest that the bus was provided to transport students for free and has been working since yesterday. One person died and seven others were injured when a bus transporting students from Sevan to Yerevan crashed into another vehicle on Sevan-Yerevan highway earlier on Tuesday morning.
