Pupils and teachers evacuated as school building catches fire in Armenian village
Nearly 111 people, including 91 pupils and 20 teachers, had to be evacuated from a school building in Armenia’s Vardenis village that caught fire on Tuesday morning. The fire started in one of the classrooms. Two fire crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after receiving the report. The fire was extinguished at 11.00. The hardwood floor of the classroom covering an area of about 1 sq. m got burnt in the fire.
