Yerevan citizen threatens to jump off crane, presents an ultimatum /updated/ (video)
17.00 The man, who threatens to kill himself since the morning by jumping off a crane, is a citizen of Yerevan. Freedom fighter Manuk Misakyan, 58, participated in the April War in Karabakh. His wife says they have financial problems and her husband tried to get a loan from the bank but he was refused. She thinks Manuk Misakyan decided to commit suicide because of depression. In the meantime, Misakyan has given the relevant bodies an hour to help him take a loan in the amount of 3 million drams. 13.42 The Ministry of Emergency Situations received a distress call at around 12.10 on Friday that a citizen wanted to commit suicide by jumping off a crane on Yerevan’s Khanjyan street. A team of rescuers, an operative group of crisis management national center and a counseling psychologist were sent to the site immediately. The Ministry promised to provide additional information later in the day.
