Cocoa with Spendiaryan’s recipe: Night of Museums
Night of Museums is taking place today in Yerevan. For already the 13th year, Armenia has joined the pan-European event of Night of Museums. This year 13 museums from Armenia and Artsakh will participate in the event. More than 30 thousand museums around the world will offer initiatives in line with the topic of the year. The slogan of this year is “"Museums and contested histories: Saying the unspeakable in museums". History Museum of Armenia will open an exhibition today entitled “Black page of history; 1915”, and at 22:00 candlelight vigil will take place in memory of innocent victims. Concerts of performers of different genres will take place in Komitas museum-institute. As well as open class of painting will be held together with the National Center of Aesthetics after Henrik Igityan and an educational program, during which 3-4 samples of falk songs written down by Komitas will be taught. Interactive performance, flesh mob and concert of military-patriotic songs will be organized at Literature and Arts Museum after Yeghishe Charents. At Yerevan City History Museum today at 20:00 readings will be held, as well as meeting with composer Tigran Mansuryan. At House-Museum of Aram Khachatryan musical performances will be held during the whole day. There will be a dance class from 19:00 to 20:30. At House-Museum of Aleksander Spendiaryan cocoa with Spendiaryan’s recipe will be served from 20:00-23:00. There will be an exhibition at Museum of Russian Art. Perfume bottles of the 19th century, cosmetics will be presented. Temporary exhibition will be opened at Karen Demirchyan museum.
