The first condition for motivating employees is not salary (video)
More than 200 participants from Armenia and the UK, representatives of different organizations and students gathered for an exchange of experience at the “First Annual Management and Leadership Conference”. According to Araksia Martirosyan, the organizer of the conference and chairman of the Armenian-British Business Chamber, Armenian organizations today have a big problem with proper management and staff motivation. “This event is unique, since we have international experts who have arrived in Armenia to share their experiences with the trainers and the specialists." Araksia Martirosyan also noted that, according to the research, the first condition for motivating employees is not a salary. “Actually, wages should be the last motivational things because eventually, people get used to their salaries, and lose their motivation. It is necessary to create an environment where employees are motivated to work and feel important.”
