10 FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTERS TO MEET IN YEREVAN
Support A1+!Foreign Affairs Ministers of 10 countries have gathered today in Yerevan to partake in the meeting of Council for Foreign Affairs Ministers of country-members of Black Sea Economic Co-operation.
It’s the 8th meeting at that format. This time the representatives of both Azerbaijan and Turkey arrived in Yerevan. Azeri representative had serious reasons to visit Armenia. After the 6-month long chairmanship over BSEC, Armenia is to resign its commission to any of country-members of the structure under the order. It’s now the turn for Azerbaijan and resignation of commission will take place in Armenia at the meeting of Ministers.
Participants regard it as a historical event. Those in Yerevan will also be witnesses of another outstanding event. The organisation established 11 years ago by 11 country-members, is being expanded in Armenia - Serbia-Montenegro and Macedonia are going to join BSEC.
The country-members of BSEC express satisfaction over the efficiency of their work. Working groups of BSEC-countries hold meetings over bank, finance, power engineering, and emergency state activity.
BSEC Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili dropped an interesting hint at the meeting. He said: “One of peculiarities of the international structures is that sometimes it is necessary to lay down the individual interests and problems of country-members in favour of the interests of a group” .
