AGRICULTURE MINISTER PRESENTS NEW PROJECT
Support A1+!At the briefing held Thursday, Agriculture Minister David Zadoyan presented a government-approved program on measures to be taken in communities where water consumption is extremely high.
Those communities where a huge amount of water is used for irrigation will be provided with compensation. Compensation mechanisms are being worked out now. Amount of 500 million drams is to be allocated for that purpose this year.
David Zadoyan said preliminary searches have already been conducted in 15 villages and so far 70 communities are included in state support list. He didn’t ruled out possibility of forged documents submission, as investigation was held only in 15 villages while information about the rest potential compensation-getters was given to the ministry by local officials.
The minister said all villages aspiring to compensation would undergo intense scrutiny before obtaining aid.
