THE WHOLE STATE SUFFERED
Support A1+!Today Shahen Karamanukyan, the former Minister-Head of Government Staff testified upon the trial.
He said he had managed to see how PM Vazgen Sargsyan was killed on October 27, 1999.
He is sure Vazgen Sargsyan, Karen Demirchyan, Leonard Petrosyan, Yuri Bakhshyan were not by-chance victims. He says the murders were well-masterminded planned and the actions of terrorists were of a well-trained group and not of separate persons .
"We had the status of hostages in the Parliament Hall. No chance for leaving or entering the Hall" ,- Karamanukyan says.
Shahen Karamanukyan stood as an "alive shield" at the Secretary of Parliament Hall. He told the decision on standing at the doors had been made by the participation of several MPs (Andranik Margaryan, Smbat Ayvazyan, he). "We thought Parliament Hall to be attacked and many would die. So it was decided to stand at the doors to prevent the possible bloodshed" ,- he says.
Karamanukyan doesn't consider himself, other MPs or Government members to be the only victims. He says the whole state suffered .
