In connection with the Police Day of Armenia policemen were today marching along the republic stadium after Vazgen Sargssyan, making photos, accepting congratulations and advises of high rankers. They also promised “at the parliamentary elections to keep protecting social order with the same resoluteness as when at the presidential ones” .

Arsen Barseghyan, assistant of orderly for Gugark Police Directorate, having been working in the system for 10 years, says “there were obstacles during work, but he has overcome them” .

Tsovak Madatyan, junior sergeant from Shirak Province thinks maintenance of social order as the prior one but says crime prevention is much more difficult.

Police Major Arno Harutyunyan, head of Kotayk Security Directorate, says he has been dreaming of becoming a policeman since childhood, adding that service to the people and homeland can’t be difficult as it’s a duty in heart .

Policemen say they will celebrate their Holiday with friends or families in a “high mood”.

Arman Tumoyan, the policeman from Martuni, says he has received the best present on the Holiday - just after the march he has been informed his wife has given birth to a daughter .

Daniel Mosikyan, expert of Gavar Police Directorate says difficulties are of social or economic nature, regarding salaries, apartments.

Officers of Yerevan State Car Inspection say they would like to receive flowers on the Holiday and wished journalists “not to write only bad things about them”.
