Republican Party “changed” trolleybus route
Support A1+!The number 9 trolleybus has changed its route for a month now and the reason, according to drivers, are the cars that are illegally parked near the Republican Party's central office.
For many years the number 9 trolleybus has rode through Sayat Nova-Khanjyan-Tigran Mets-Melik Adamyan-Nalbandyan streets. But now it no longer goes through Melik Adamyan-Nalbandyan and makes its way through Mashtots Avenue. The Republican Party's central office is located on Melik Adamyan and here is where the party's cars are parked.
Deputy Director of exploitation at the "Electrotransport" company Sergey Soghomonyan told "A1+" that there is huge traffic and they are not able to pass through MelikAdamyan Street and have received many letters from passengers to let the trolleybus pass through Mashtots Avenue.
When "A1+" asked what he meant by traffic when there is usually no heavy traffic on Melik Adamyan Street, Mr. Soghomonyan said:
"The parked cars make it hard to pass. Trolleybuses need to pass through the wires and they can't move around the cars."
