Armenia celebrates Feast of St. Gregory the Enlightener on June 19
On June 19, Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Feast of St. Gregory the Enlightener (Discovery of His Relics).
Years ago, Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians Karekin II declared the feast as Pilgrimage Day in the Yerevan church of St. Gregory the Illuminator.
The procession of pilgrims will head to the church from Tigran Mets Avenue at 10:15 June 19.
St. Liturgy will be served in the church at 10:30 followed by a festive concert in the churchyard.
Upon the completion of the ceremony, the faithful will be handed out light brought from the lamps of Khor Virap Monastery.
