NGOs urge to call special sitting
A number of NGOs and the Aarhus Center in Syunik applied to the administrations of Kajaran and Lernadzor Community proposing to invite an extraordinary sitting of the Aldermen's Council and to finally say "no" to whole geological prospecting and uranium mine development. In their appeal NGOs also call to join the signature collecting against uranium program havng started among Kapan population. The appeal also says: "A number of Kapan-based NGOs expressed their firm disagreement with the whole geological prospecting and uranium mine development," EcoLur Network reports.
