Car that ran over investigator not found

On 2010 October 5 at around 12:15 a.m. driver of an unknown car and license number violated traffic rules, ran over and killed Tigran Sahakyan in front of the 14th electric pole located on Bagrevand Street of Yerevan and left the scene of the accident.
On the same day, a criminal case was brought up under Part 2 of Article 242 and Article 244 of the RA Penal Code at the division of investigation road transportation crimes of the chief investigative department of the RA Police. Preliminary inquiry has been underway since October 5 at the department of examination of special cases at the RA Police.
During a search at the scene of the incident, police found and confiscated pieces of glass, pieces of plastic items, Tigran Sahakyan's shoes, personal items and documents. The police also confiscated the clothes that T. Sahakyan had worn during the incident from the center for scientific-practical forensic medicine at the RA Ministry of Health.
During the preliminary inquiry of the criminal case, objects near the site and video recordings of surveillance cameras were confiscated and many people were interrogated as eyewitnesses, including people who had had telephone conversations with T. Sahakyan and were the last ones who had been in contact with him.
Complex forensic medicine, chemical and biological expert examinations have been scheduled.
