No epidemic
There has not been any diarrhea registered in Lori province, particularly in Vanadzor, as reported by the RA Ministry of Health.
One out of 2 patients with intestinal diseases is from the Shahuman community of Lori province and the others are from Vanadzor.
According to the ministry, the diarrhea cases are not too common because the provoking diarrhea circulates in the environment, leading to rare cases among the population.
In the past 10 days, two patients with a non-intestinal infection, 18 patients with intestinal diseases, 3 patients with diarrhea living in different districts of Vanadzor have been treated at the infection department of Vanadzor hospital.
Diarrhea is an intestinal disease caused by bacteria. The unknown period lasts 2-7 days and an average of 3-5 days. The disease can proceed through convulsions, high temperature and vomiting.
