Cars stuck in traffic
The heavy snowfall that began in Syunik province yesterday is in progress.
The snowfall made the Shurnukh-Kapan section of the Yerevan-Meghri interstate highway almost impassable during the second half of the day. Tens of cars were stuck in traffic and the regional rescue service employees reached the highway for assistance.
Head of the department Artur Harutyunyan informed that cars and trucks, as well as one of the cars that had been accompanying the Minister of Emergency Situations on his visit to Syunik province yesterday were stuck in traffic.
The technical equipment provided by "Vosmar" company serving the highway is still cleaning the roads.
