Fire ruined event at "Parvana"
The fire at "Parvana" restaurant has been extinguished and the roof was being destroyed while "A1+"'s crew was at the scene.
The fire had left the roof completely burnt. The building and the nearby area were flooded with water and the smoke had turned most of the firefighters' faces black.
Head of the Yerevan Rescue Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Mushegh Ghazaryan said 8 firefighting crews, 2 ladders and 6 water tubes were needed.
"The fire caused an enormous amount of damage. The reasons will be cleared up after an investigation. We are in charge of eliminating the causes," said Ghazaryan.
Rescuers say there are no injured parties.
According to our sources, this evening, an event devoted to Motherhood and Beauty Day was supposed to be held at MP Samvel Alexanyan's "Parvana" restaurant. Nearly 1,500 tickets had ben sold. Some singers were already at the complex when the fire broke out, but were forced to leave after a short while.
