City center covered with trash
Hanrapetutyun street was still littered with trash at 11 am. Overflowing garbage cans were still standing in front of the Europe hotel at 49 Hanrapetutyun, spreading stench across a wide area.
Residents say trash is carried out every day but the sight convinced to the contrary. It seemed that the garbage had not been removed for months.
We came across a similar scene at the intersection of Byuzand and Hanrapetutyun streets where the containers had not been emptied for a few days. Overflowing garbage creates unsanitary conditions for pedestrians and fast food restaurants.
"It is really unpleasant to walk past the garbage and inhale the stench. Everybody should contribute to the cleanliness of the city," said Yerevan citizen Marietta Petrosyan.
Kentron Cleaning Ltd informed A1+ that the trash is carried out at 4am every day.
