Help for livestock
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia and Heifer International Armenia have signed a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on cooperation as part of the Competitiveness Program for Management of Agricultural Resources of Communities (CCARM).
The CPMARC will be implemented by the program implementation office of the RA Ministry of Agriculture and Heifer Armenia. The aim of the project is to improve productivity and sustainability of pasture/livestock livelihood systems in selected 55 communities of six Armenian provinces support for the development of pasture/livestock management plans and increased sales from livestock and natural resources.
Heifer International has been around in Armenia since 1999 and has implemented over 45 projects in the South Caucasus. It has also worked in over 150 villages, helping over 7,000 families. Currently, Heifer Armenia is implementing 19 programs, of which 17 in Armenia and 2 in Georgia.
