On October 12, police officers transferred 23-year old resident of Gyumri to Armenia via the Moscow-Yerevan flight. The young man had been under persecution since 19 June 2010 for causing serious harm to a person's health.

Narcotics found

On October 12, police officers arrested 48-year old Karo Muradyan (nickname "Garush") at his home N17 located on Krilov Street in Yerevan for keeping illegal narcotics.

Police found a 5 ml needle with an opium drug solution.

Muradyan says he had purchased the drug for 20,000 drams on the same day from a person named Tigran on Freedom Fighters' Street.

Police officers managed to find out that that Tigran was 33-year old Tigran Chavushyan, who has been sentenced four times in the past.

On the same day, Tigran Chavushyan and five others were arrested.

T. Chavushyan had 27 grams of a mass similar to opium, a 20 ml injector and six 2 ml injectors.

Tigran Chavushyan says the mass that the police found was opium, and the liquid was cider.

The confiscated items have been sent for an expert examination.

The facts are being cleared up and investigation is underway.
