Corpse found near Culture House
On November 9, the police department of Aparan city received a call that a man's body was lying near the House of Culture in Aragats village.
On arriving at the scene, the task force found traces of violence one the body of 59-year-old Gevorg Galstyan, a resident of the village. The preliminary investigation revealed that on the previous day Galstyan had had an argument with his co-villager Avetik Karapetyan during which the latter hit Galstyan on the head with a stone.
A criminal action has been filed under Article 104 (Part 1) of the Armenian Criminal Code.
Karapetyan, who reportedly suffers from mental illness, has been placed under arrest.
