Eyewitness demands security guarantees
The court of general jurisdiction of the Shengavit district in charge of the case of officer Artak Nazaryan, who was killed at the Mehrabner military unity of the RA Armed Forces or committed suicide according to the official version, was supposed to interrogate the demobilized temporary soldier Arman Mnatsakanyan today.
During the previous trial, Mnatsakanyan had demanded security guarantees from the court. The court had noticed several discrepancies in Mnatsakanyan's preliminary testominies. We remind that he wasn't being demobilized for a long time and was kept at the National Security Service.
Artak's sister, journalist Tsovinar Nazaryan told "A1+" that the state prosecutor Harutyun Harutyunyan had introduced the new prosecutor, Hayk Haroyan, who will be defending the charge with Hartyunyan.
After asking the new prosecutor several questions, the culprits and the attorneys presented a motion to the court for Hayk Haroyan to declare a challenge petition.
"Haroyan said he was aware of the case materials, and we concluded that he couldn't defend the charges since the entire case was based on false information," Tsovinar Nazaryan mentioned.
We remind that according to the information presented by the preliminary investigative body, senior lieutenant Artak Nazaryan committed suicide on 27 July 2010 at the combat supporting point of Mehrabner military unit in the Tavush province.
His relatives claim that Artak was murdered.
