Caucasus Authors Course draws to an end

The award and diploma handing ceremonies of the Caucasus Authors Course were held at the British Embassy in Tbilisi. During the past eight months, 11 Armenian, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Ossetian and Abkhaz journalists underwent trainings according to the standards of Western journalism and prepared documentaries, photo stories and articles.

Armenia was represented by member of the Journalists for Human Rights NGO Arman Gharibyan, who won in the Best Article category.

Representative of South Ossetia, TV journalist Gana Yanovskaya won in the Best Documentary Film category, while Georgian poet Vaso Gulieri won in the Best Photo Story category.

The winners were given recreational photo cameras as gifts. Armenian journalist from Javakhk, Kristine Marabyan and Georgian Nino Narimanashvili were given photo cameras for their advancement in the eight-month course.

The Caucasian Authors Course was organized by the Georgian GoGroup Media through funding provided by the British government.
