Aznavour: “Turkey will come to grips with its past”
One day, sooner or later, Turkey will come to grips with its past. This is what world renowned singer Charles Aznavour said in an interview on the France 2 Television.
"We don't want territories. Don't worry," said the singer as he addressed the Turks. He brought up the example of French-German relations and mentioned that Germany doesn't want Elzas and Lotaringia from France.
"Many Armenians agree with me on this issue," said Aznavour.
Touching upon the bill criminalizing the denial of genocides, Aznavour mentioned that it gave him pleasure to see the French Senate's adoption of the bill and that he had sent a letter of gratitude to President Sarkozy, reports "ArmenPress".
