Stands to be placed?
Environmental activists had a meeting with Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan with the demand to annul the decision on placing stands in the park near Mashtots Avenue.
Among the participants of the meeting were deputies of the ARF-D and "Heritage" factions.
"Heritage" MP Anahit Bakhshyan told "A1+" that the meeting was not really efficient and that the activists didn't receive answers to all their questions.
It turned out that the municipality was the one implementing the project, but as Anahit Bakhshyan mentioned, it wasn't funded by the municipality.
"The mayor was not for the idea of placing stands in the green area either, but I think he has no other way out," said Anahit Bakhshyan. She also informed that the municipality would try to take the environmentalists' suggestions into account, but that the stands would be placed either way.
