Environmentalists returning to Mashtots avenue
"We want a green and clean Yerevan!"
The call was heard for about two hours outside the Yerevan Municipality on Monday.
The environmental activists protesting against the construction of kiosks in Mashtots avenue today gathered in front of the municipality demanding the city authorities to annul their decision and prevent the illegal construction.
The environmentalists state that the municipality was first to hold public hearings on the issue.
Popular Armenian poet, guitarist, singer, songwriter and lyricist Ruben Hakhverdyan participated in the action.
The group is already returning to Mashtots avenue.
