Yerevan Mayor congratulates school leavers
Armenian schools are celebrating traditional "Last Bell" on May 25 to announce a new stage in the lives of some 40,000 teenagers who are leaving school this year.
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan has issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of the traditional "Last Bell."
"I am convinced that the sweet memories of warm school environment, dear teachers and classmates will accompany you throughout your lives. Although the Last Bell symbolizes farewell, it also marks the beginning of new perspectives and horizons. It implies a high sense of responsibility towards your future lives and initiatives.
When choosing your future profession, remember that you are the successors of elder generation who had numerous victories and achievements and continue strengthening and thriving our country with honor and dignity.
I am sure that you will preserve the century-old values that your parents and teachers passed to you. I congratulate you again on this significant event and want you to remember for once and for ever that we owe to our teachers for the knowledge, true lessons of life and every success that they shared with us. I express my heartfelt gratitude, appreciation and thanks to our teachers for their patriotic work. "My fellow friends, I wish you good luck, happiness and new achievements in your life," reads the message.
The Yerevan Mayor also congratulated the parents of school graduates and expressed hopes that the latter will fulfill the dreams and expectations of their parents.
