HAK activist: "Hey! Take off your bow!"
A Yerevan court today continued the trial of the young activists of the Armenian National Congress (HAK).
In his accusatory speech, the prosecutor cited the words of HAK activist Sargis Gevorgyan addressed to a police officer, "Hey! Take off your bow!" Later, as the prosecutor said, Gevorgyan began to photograph the police saying, "I am photographing good guys."In the police department, Gevorgyan behaved violently, turned over the chairs and table and shouted, "This is not a police station but a bower of criminals."
HAK activist Tigran Arakelyan was taken into custody on August 9, 2011, after a standoff with police in a Yerevan park. He was detained with six other activists of the Armenian National Congress who were later released on bail.
