The court has left the verdict for Arsen Artsruni unchanged. Artsruni is sentenced to life in jail in relation to the Case of Dro.

The court's verdict was announced by Judge of the general jurisdiction court of Erebuni and Nubarashen districts during the court's outgoing trial held at the Nubarashen Penitentiary. Even though the trial was an open-door trial, Artsruni's family members weren't allowed to enter the courtroom and went up the stairs after causing uproar.

The amendments to the Criminal Code in May 2011 led to the removal of the point of an article by which Arsen Artsruni had been sentenced in 1996, and this led to the emergence of the need to give a new qualification of the operations.

We remind that Arsen Artsruni's attorney Narine Rshtuni finds that after Article 104 (2) (15) was removed as a result of the amendment to the RA Criminal Code dated 23 May 2011, Arsen Artsruni's actions have to be viewed as two separate episodes under Article 38-104 (1), and the death sentencing has to be changed to 12 years in jail, meaning Arsen Artsruni has to be released.
