We do not bring Lebanese-Armenians to Armenia, but they come with their own desire. If we brought them, this would be a state-level repatriation - Zareh Sinanya (video)
Support A1+!So far, more than 800 Lebanese-Armenians have arrived in Armenia. The head of the Office of Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan stated this in a talk with journalists in the National Assembly. He added that the flow is continuous, and now there are flights from Beirut to Armenia twice a week, which are almost full.
"At the moment, there is a great deal of goodwill in our society towards our compatriots affected by the economic crisis and the explosion in Lebanon. Therefore, you will be surprised how many people offer their homes. There are people who offer their own vacation homes. In other words, we are able to meet everyone's needs in small volumes," he said, adding that from September 1, the package will be put into circulation, due to which other solutions will be provided.
At the same time, Sinanyan mentioned that they do not bring Lebanese-Armenians to Armenia, but they come with their own desire. "If we brought them, this would be a state-level repatriation. At the moment, some Lebanese-Armenians prefer to come and settle in their historic homeland," he said.
