Tree cutting continues: offer of Municipality wasn’t accepted
Tree cutting continues in the territory of Tsitsernakaberd. The citizens, who have phoned “A1+” TV company, claim that already tick trees are being cut down and no one is able to find out whether those trees are dry and damaged or not. People, who are carrying out tree cutting activities, claim that they have permission from Yerevan Municipality for cutting down the trees. “A1+” turned to Yerevan Municipality connected with this issue, in reply to which the public relations department of the Municipality informed, “Yerevan Municipality has given a relevant permission for cutting down the dry trees in the territory of Tsitsernakaberd on the condition that new saplings are planted on the same place in spring. Mainly, dry and damaged elm trees and poplars have been cut down. It has been offered to stop the tree cutting until May, 2016.” Taking into account that until today tree cutting continues in Tsitsernakaberd, we can conclude that the offer of the Municipality wasn’t accepted.
