Volunteer doctor and Karabakh war veteran needs help (video)
Freedom fighter Hamlet Yesayan, a volunteer doctor who participated in the Artsakh war, cannot afford to pay AMD 700 000 for his surgery. He needs financial assistance. Hamlet Yesayan, 63, has recently been diagnosed with cancer and needs urgent operation at the ARTMED medical rehabilitation centre in Yerevan. The surgery costs AMD 1.200.000. The hospital has provided a 500 000-dram discount for him, but the family cannot pay the remaining 700 000. The retired director and doctor has no money to pay for the surgery… The family turns to everyone who can help the doctor who helped numerous people during the earthquake and the Artsakh war. The freedom fighter has renounced all his titles and lived with the consciousness that participation in the war for his homeland was not a title but commitment. Today, Hamlet Yesayan needs everybody's support. If his 25-year-old son, Narek, were alive, he would not ask anyone for help. Narek was killed one and a half year ago.
