"Employers are not to pay pension funds"
Employers don’t have a right and mustn’t pay funded pension taxes. This was announced today by the lawyer Norayr Norikyan. He stressed that funded pensions law has more political than legal nature, “The creators of this idea have lost, the next Government, if it is wise, won’t commit political suicide that is it won’t go against the public, as former one did.” Another speaker of the conference, employers’ republican union president Gagik Makaryan noted that at the present new Government will take the works of law awareness. But he urged the employers not to pay. He also turned to the Prime Minister’s resignation by saying, “As Serzh Sargsyan noted, Prime Minister was asked to wait for a month, but according to the Labor Code, the employee is resigned after a month from presenting the application, so Prime Minister’s resignation was like the resignation of simple employee.” Speaking about the next Prime Minister, he didn’t mention names, but he said that new head of the Executive must be a person, who will know economic problems of Armenia, and the NA must become real legislative body and stop being government adjuncts.
