CORPSE IN RESERVOIR
A corpse was found in Aghbyurak reservoir, Hrazdan town, at 2.00, May 22. The body of a Hrazdan resident Edik Khachatrian, 1955, was taken out of the water at 2.30.
“ANIMALS” STAGE A PROTEST
Today a number of people in masks of various animals, gathered at the Governmental Buildings in defense of Teghut. Since today is the International Day of Biodiversity and Agriculture, the protesters wanted to show that the exploitation of Teghut would endanger the local biodiversity.
HEAVY HAIL
On May 21 a heavy hail extensively damaged the meadows, fruit trees, melons and gourds of Horbategh Village, Vayots Dzor Region.

Residents of the “zone of alienation” gathered near the President’s residence today morning with a demand to answer their letter. They call on the President to find a fair solution to their problem.
RA CITIZEN KILLED IN MOSCOW
A citizen of Armenia was killed in the center of Moscow at about 23:00, May 19. According to the Russian mass media, the 46-year-old Armenian was killed on 12 Mantulinski Str., near his own house. The man died right away from the wounds on the head. The murderers’ identity has not yet been established.
SYMPATHIZING WITH AGHAJANOV’S FAMILY
Economist Edward Aghajanov, aged 50, died from a heart attack at about 8.00, May 19. As an experienced scientist and a skillful manager Aghajanov was trusted the position of the head of RA National Statistics Service, where he worked with great devotion and diligence.

Economist Edward Aghajanov, aged 50, died a sudden death near the "Kazirok" cafe at about 8.00, May 19. Witnesses say he died of a heart attack.
YPC URGES TO STOP PERSECUTION
We demand that an independent investigation of the occurrences of March 1, 2008 and subsequent developments, that must be made according to PACE Resolution 1609, include also the consideration of who, upon whose instructions and on what legal grounds exercised preemptive censorship, and those responsible for it be punished by the RA legislation.
EIGHT-YEAR-OLD HAYK NEEDS MAJOR OPERATION
100.000 euros is necessary to save 8-year-old Hayk Manoukian’s life. It is the price for the operation to be performed in the Russian Federation. Still at the age of three doctors detected acute liver-nephritic poly-schistose congenital disease in the child but his parents couldn’t afford the costly operation.

EDITORIAL OFFICE BROKEN INTO
At 10:30 today morning employees of Panorama.am information website found the gate of their office at 34 Khorenatsi unlocked. One of the banisters was broken into pieces.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
A fire was reported near house 17 on Rustaveli Str., Yerevan, at 6.27 p.m. May 15. A VAZ-21010 turned out to have run into a GAZ-3110 causing a gas escape. At least five got injuries and one died as a result the traffic accident.
ARMENIAN SOLDIER IS DEAD
On May 15, at about 11.45 nineteen-year-old Andranik T. Hayrapetian, soldier of Charentsavan military forces, was killed by the enemy. Hayrapetian was wounded on the abdomen. According to the message of the Defense Ministry Andranik Hayrapetian was immediately taken to the local hospital where he died at 12.30. The case is under investigation.
SEVERAL PROTESTS AT THE GOVERNMENTAL BUILDINGS
Today several protest actions were simultaneously going on at the Governmental Buildings. A group of protesters demanded that the constructions at “Teghut” Mine be ceased, another group of Northern Avenue and Buzandi Street residents demanded their houses back, still others, farmers of Dalma Gardens and Kanaker-Avan, wanted their green lands back.
THREATENING THROUGH DISOBEDIENCE
Today residents from 28 districts of Yerevan staged a protest action at the RA Presidential Residence. They carried posters demanding a reception to the Residence to present their problems and difficulties to the President. For three years these citizens have been struggling for the restoration of their property rights.
PROSECUTOR’S CAR DAMAGED
A traffic accident occurred near the RoA Prosecutor General's Office today. A car ran into a Volsewagen belonging to Shirak’s prosecutor Davit Sarkissian. There are no victims. A criminal action has been instituted to reveal the details of the accident.
CORPSE FOUND IN WATER-PIPE
At 10.35, May 13, a corpse was found in a water-pipe passing through the village of Baghramian, Armavir Marz. The body was taken out and handed to the law-enforcement bodies at 12.30.
MEMBERS OF “HIMA” MOVEMENT IN AZATUTYAN SQUARE
Today members of the “Hima” youth movement spent over an hour in Mashtots-Sayat-Nova crossroads teaching people to cross the street only under the green light. It was a little strange for the passers-by and rather unpleasant for the drivers.
FATAL CUT ON THE ABDOMEN
On May 11 Vanadzor Police Department was informed that Artyom Sargssian was taken to the local hospital with a serious cut on the abdomen. Unfortunately, Sargssian died the next day without recovering consciousness.
SUKIAS AVETISIAN IS A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT
Today Sukias Avetisian was appointed an MP at a special session of Central Electoral Commission (CEC). He was registered instead of Armen Danielian, who was appointed a Deputy Prosecutor General a week ago.

POLICE TESTIMONY IS NOT ENOUGH
"No one can be imprisoned unless the arrest is grounded,” says barrister Dzerar Julhakian, member of the Armenian Advocates Union (ADU) of Paris. Together with five other advocates he has arrived in Armenia to get familiarized with the state of his Armenian counterparts. The French advocates have met with RoA FM, Chairman of the Advocates' Chamber and detainees of the March 1 events.
