ARMENIAN CHILDREN IN MOSCOW
Fifteen Armenian children from socially vulnerable families have been in Moscow over the past days. They were participating in the “Friendship” summer camp and will be back to Yerevan on July 11.

CORPSE DISCOVERED IN POND
On July 7 the rescuers dragged out of the pond near the Village of Dprabak, Gegharkunik Region the corpse of drowned Nikolos Yeritsyan. On July 6 the rescuers were informed that Resident of Dprabak Village Nikolos Yeritsyan, 38, was drowned in the nearby pond.

VW PASSAT GOT STUCK IN SANDS
A Volkswagen Passat 11 OT 657 got stuck in wet sands while U-turning on the beach near Sevan at 11.05 p.m. on June 25. Rescuers took the car out at about 11.35.

THREE PEOPLE DEAD AND ONE INJURED
An accident occurred on the 22nd km of Ashtarak-Talin Highway at 11:45, on June 25. A Mercedes C-280 (registration number 22 UL 800) went out of the route and turned, crashing into a tree.
DRIVER RECEIVED BURNS
A “VAZ-2121” with state numbers 67 OT 199 burnt down in the village of Nor Gheghi, Kotayk marz, at 3.00, June 24. The driver of the car, Varuzhan Vardanian, was taken to hospital with burns of different degrees.
HEART ATTACK
On June 24 the rescue service received an alarm that resident of the Totovents Alley 2/32 does not answer either the telephone or door bell rings. Arriving at the site the rescuers opened the door and found 75-year-old Rima Saribekian, who had had a sudden heart attack. Given first aid Rima Saribekian was taken to hospital.
EC DECISION SIGNALS TO GRANT A1+ LICENCE
“We call on the Armenian leadership to take the EC decision regarding A1+ Company as a signal to grant the TV Company a broadcasting licence,” said Nina Oganova, Coordinator of the Journalists’ Protection Committee on European and Central Asian Issues.
DEMANDING REPLY FROM GOVERNMENT
Like every Thursday a group of people staged a protest action at the Governmental Buildings today. Mothers of dead soldiers showed their sons pictures demanding that the murderers be punished. Another group of people held Arman Babajanian’s picture and demanded to set him free. Still others, deprived of their property rights, shouted: “Thieves!”, “Robbers!”

In the city of Gyumri the southern wall of an unfinished construction fell on the nearest house razing it to the ground on June 18. Several people were caught in the ruins. According to preliminary data it was the two-fold wall of “Ankyun” Ltd that fell on the house No 101/031 on Shirakatsi Str.

BOSPHORUS QUARTET TO PERFORM IN YEREVAN ON JUNE 18
The esteemed Bosphorus Quartet from Istanbul, Turkey, will perform at Komitas Chamber Music Hall in Yerevan at 19:00 on June 18, 2008. CHAMBER JUDGMENT
The European Court of Human Rights has today notified in writing its Chamber judgment1 in the case of Meltex Ltd and Mesrop Movsesyan vs. Armenia (application no. 32283/04).
SUICIDE ATTEMPT
On June 16 the RA Rescue Service was called to Babajanian Str. to open the door of a locked apartment. The rescuers were able to open the door at 23:54. As it turned out one of the family members, who suffered from mental disorder, was on the balcony threatening to throw herself down. It was 28-year-old Gayane, who refused to speak either to the assistants of the first aid service or to her parents.
